TerraSond's knowledge and ability to manage new technologies enables us to play a key role in the surveying and mapping industry.
We own and maintain a large suite of complex software and equipment that is necessary for executing accurate land and hydrographic surveying and mapping. The technology includes specialized tools for obtaining measurements and performing calculations on land and water that are essential for creating, editing and analyzing spatial and attribute data.
We support our staff's ability to manage new technologies by providing additional education and training. We also encourage hands-on experience to increase the conceptual understanding of geographic information systems (GIS) and their practical application for our projects.
Tide Gauges
TerraSond owns water level gauges for datum and uses the extremely accurate and robust Design Analysis Associates (DAA) digital bubbler pressure systems, with Signal Engineering radios for GOES telemetry. In addition, TerraSond owns the ancillary parts required to field the equipment and support the installation of its water level stations.
DAA Waterlog Bubbler Gauge
The DAA Waterlog bubbler gauge H-500XL is a data logger designed for remote operations. This instrument can be interfaced with other data loggers, GOES transmitters, remote displays, telemetry systems, modems and a variety of sensors. 
DAA Waterlog Radar Gauge
The DAA Waterlog H-3611 is a time-of-flight microwave radar level sensor. Typical applications include non-contact measurement of river, lake and reservoir water levels. DAA Waterlog Strain Gauge
The Waterlog Model H-310 is a submersible pressure transducer for water level monitoring. Accuracy exceeds government requirements of 0.01 ft. 
Sea-Bird SBE 26plus SEAGAUGE w/ LinkQuest Acoustic Modem
The Sea-Bird SBE 26plus wave and tide recorder combines FLASH memory with a time base, precision thermometer and pressure sensor to provide wave and tide recording of unprecedented resolution and accuracy, along with high-quality temperature information.
