Technologies

TerraSond's knowledge and ability to manage new technologies enables us to play a key role in the surveying and mapping industry.

We own and maintain a large suite of complex software and equipment that is necessary for executing accurate land and hydrographic surveying and mapping. The technology includes specialized tools for obtaining measurements and performing calculations on land and water that are essential for creating, editing and analyzing spatial and attribute data.

We support our staff's ability to manage new technologies by providing additional education and training. We also encourage hands-on experience to increase the conceptual understanding of geographic information systems (GIS) and their practical application for our projects.

Survey Vessels

We own and maintain a fleet of aluminum survey vessels that are custom-built for hydrographic surveying and mapping. These vessels range from 21' to 42' and are equipped with singlebeam, multibeam, and side scan sonar systems, navigational and vessel attitude equipment, and data acquisition and processing equipment and software.

Our vessels support marine projects for the construction and engineering industry, the oil and gas industry, the scientific community, and local, state, and government agencies.

Chartered Vessels Chartered Vessels We often charter vessels of opportunity for projects that require them depending on project duration, area and location, number of crew, and equipment needed.
Inflatable Boats Inflatable Boats Our inflatable boats are easily shipped or flown in to remote locations and are outfitted with enough hydrographic survey gear to complete your project.
