Technologies
TerraSond's knowledge and ability to manage new technologies enables us to play a key role in the surveying and mapping industry.
We own and maintain a large suite of complex software and equipment that is necessary for executing accurate land and hydrographic surveying and mapping. The technology includes specialized tools for obtaining measurements and performing calculations on land and water that are essential for creating, editing and analyzing spatial and attribute data.
We support our staff's ability to manage new technologies by providing additional education and training. We also encourage hands-on experience to increase the conceptual understanding of geographic information systems (GIS) and their practical application for our projects.
Magnetometers
TerraSond uses magnetometers to measure magnetic field strength. On land they can find buried pipeline and cable and deposits for mining. On the seafloor they can detect variations in the total magnetic field to identify pipeline and cable, sunken boats, and any other material containing steel or magnetite.
Marine Magnetics Explorer Mini Marine Magnetometer
The Marine Magnetics Explorer Mini Marine Magnetomer is light weight, compact, and ideal for shallow water surveys. Explorer's small size and light weight also makes it ideal for towing behind sidescan sonars and deep tow platforms.
RDI RD4000
The Radiodetection RD4000 cable and pipe locater is the most cost-effective method of locating buried services be it gas, electric, telecom, water, sewer or CATV.
