HYPACK
HYPACK is one of the most widely used hydrographic surveying packages in the world, with over 3,000 users.
It provides the surveyor with all of the tools needed to design their survey, collect data, process it, reduce it, and generate final products.
The survey program permits input from up to nine devices, simultaneously. It supports multiple navigation systems, single and dual frequency echo sounders, multibeam and many other sensors. It supports all DGPS and OTF kinematic navigation systems along with range/range and range/azimuth systems. HYPACK for Windows contains advanced design programs, which permit the layout of lines, create plotting sheets and design cross section profiles.
The editing routines provide the user with graphical editor interface that allows display and editing of tracklines, sounding profiles and text data simultaneously. Tide, draft, vessel motion sensors and sound velocity corrections are applied and sounding sorted to prevent overwrites during plotting. The HYPACK system transfers the data to AutoCAD. It also has its own plotting capability including smooth sheets to cross section plots.
