NOAA - Alaska IDIQ Contract for Hydrographic Surveys and Related Services Various Locations, Alaska

In addition to providing 100% bottom coverage, NOAA Task Orders include rerunning any sounding or sidescan line that fails to meet specifications.

We use multibeam, sidescan and/or single beam data collection systems for all NOAA hydrographic surveys. Water levels are determined using manual observations, recording and/or telemetry tide gauges and Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS. Data is collected with HYPACK or QPS QINSy. We use a variety of our own survey vessels and sometimes lease larger vessels for other project-specific work.

Completed projects are delivered with both digital and hard copy bound reports including a detailed descriptive report, horizontal and vertical control report, processing report, and a report of separate items pertaining to the Task Order.

Task Orders for NOAA hydrographic surveys require the following:

  • Mobilizing, demobilizing, and moving between survey areas;

  • Performing all surveying;

  • Establishing geodetic control;

  • Positioning floating aids to navigation;

  • Installing, operating, and removing water level (tide) stations;

  • Processing data;

  • Preparing reports, plots, and other deliverables; and

  • Determining the least depth on wrecks and obstructions from the data acquired during the Task Order.
