Don Seals Assists Brazilian Company Utilizing Laser Scanning TechnologyJan 1, 2010 - TerraSond Limited

Don Seals, TerraSond Limited's Laser Scanning Manager, traveled to Brazil to instruct a Brazilian company on the processes that combine land surveying and laser scanning. The project was at a simple oil refinery in Betim, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The objective was to scan all storage tanks and pipelines leading from the tanks to the refining systems. Mr. Seals instructed and developed a process and procedure for this particular project that would maximize the abilities of the personnel conducting the work. The equipment used was a Leica Total Stations and Cyclone software and Z&F Phase-based scanners.
