Tideland Surveys

Tidelands are lands between the mean high and the mean low tide lines. In the majority of tideland surveys, at least a portion of the survey involves surveying the boundary between the tidelands and the uplands. This involves determining the location of the Mean High Water line.

These surveys are often done to describe an area leased from the state and provide a legal description and plat.
